Contest Period
The Contest, where permitted by law, shall commence at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time on September 3, 2007 and shall continue in duration until 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on December 31, 2007 (the “Deadline”). All entries must be postmarked on or before December 31, 2007 to be eligible to win a prize.
Eligibility
This Contest is open only to residents of the United States who are high school seniors currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. public high school, graduating with plans to enter a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocation technical school in the United States no later than Fall 2008 and have read and understood the Contest’s Official Rules and Regulations (“Official Rules”).
If you are not a resident of the United States and/or you are not a high school senior currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. public high school, graduating with plans to enter a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocation technical school in the United States no later than Fall 2008, you are not eligible to enter the Contest and win a prize.
Employees of PNY, its advertising and promotional agencies and their respective affiliates and associates and such individuals’ immediate family members and persons with whom such individuals are domiciled are not eligible to participate.
Program Requirements
- Students need to examine their community and identify a need where senior citizens in their community need assistance in the field of technology.
- Students must define the need and develop a plan to respond to it.
- The plan must be presented in a one thousand (1,000) word or less essay.
- The presentation should include no more than five (5) photographs identifying key elements of the plan.
- All members of the team must participate in preparing the submission.
- The plan must include products offered by PNY. A full listing of PNY products is available on-line at

Selection Process
- All Contest entries will be judged by an independent panel of judges
for merit.
- All decisions made by the judges are considered final.
- Judging will begin after the Deadline. Judging criteria for each entry will include the following:
Judging Criteria
- The originality and the development of the plan.
- The way in which the plan enhances the senior citizens in your community.
- The teamwork involved in executing the plan.
- Plan utility: how useful is the plan.
- Completeness of the submission (photographs and text for all important aspects of the plan)
and a clear, concise text description.
- Technical merit of the plan as well as any materials submitted to
support the plan.
- Winners will be selected the week of February 25, 2008 and will be contacted by phone as well as notified by mail.
- The names of the grand prize winning team and honorable mention teams will be posted on
www.pny.com/education
